From July 8 Press Release re: Atlin Results from the soils collected this season returned one sample of 8.03 ppm Au, seven samples greater than 0.1 ppm Au and 159 samples less than 0.1 ppm Au.
These are far from earth shattering sample results--one great, seven decent and 157 poor. Atlin is a thoroughly conventional modern exploration story that goes something like 'Where do you find a new gold mine? Answer: underneath or beside an old mine. Why? Because $1500 oz. gold makes these worthwhile plays.'
Thorn will make or break Brixton stock. After Thorn, the silver property in Ontario has a real chance of being relevant if the current silver breakout is substained.
Atlin is Gary Thompson keeping his word to investors that he would drill Atlin if the Thorn hole results resulted in a refinancing. I commend him for this. It is refreshing to have a managment that does exactly what it promises.
The sky high expectations for Atlin so frequently touted here at Stockhouse are consistently over the top which of course is part of what makes Stockhouse so much fun.
