RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Vaping??Couldn't agree more Geo on what things could have been like....we boomers have had probably the best life and opportunity of any generation ever and I am greatful every day for the life that I have had. But what we have had and still have came a very large price paid in blood and suffering, of which I was very aware of from a boy due to how emotionally powerful Remembrance Day was with all the vets in the family and community and the loss so many suffered...I will never forget.
My concern is that we have forgot too much and our kids know little to nothing about what was and I do not want to see as bad or worse for our grandkids....there is no reason besides stupidity and greed for us to see another period like the 1st and 2nd world wars and much more before that. But it looks doubtful that we see another 80yrs of relative peace and good living unless we understand the cost of losing our way again and are ever vigilant in not accepting that end.
I am just interested in a better world for all, even the cakes, and hope that everyone has loaded up on FIREshares as there is plenty of happiness and joy ahead for those that own. The history of the human race has two modes, war on others and the prelude to war on others and this latest "Global Warming" insanity is just more of the same...power and control over others.
The eradication of plastic straws and cattle because they fart...we will definately control the universe one day?? No we are only legends in our tiny minds and this quest for power and control will do nothing but continue to fail and degrade our quality of life....instead of a collective effort to make our country stronger and better we are looking at separation and failure, like Europe and a very gallant every to collapse in the US. But should not be a surprise as the history of the species is consistant.
I have a lot less road ahead than behind and will not have to suffer through the ultimate disaster of our solid path through history to this end but it really pizzes me off to see what looks to be the future for our grandkids. Of where we have come to and where we could be going it is a complete disgrace, JMHO....Opt

..we're a hell of better off than 80 years ago when the blitzkrieg was on over Poland and Nazi Germany was takin over Europe. You had Hitler on drugs and every country was bending over to appease him. we got over that and we will deal with whatever comes our way...it is small potatoes compared to what out parents and grandparents went trough...
