RE:Dixie Linton... hmmm... maybe I was on to something.... Wherever the King of Pot goes, he will bring a following and I am wiling to bet that dollars will follow. I made a couple of posts somewhere that Linton brings the magic and gets things done. He isn't finished with marijuana just because Constellation pulled the rug out from under him. He built Canopy into the world leading pot company and the future value hasn't been realized yet. Constellation saw that and coughed up $4 billion US which helped to legitimize the greenrush. Securing world leadership for the greenrush necessitates having the US market and he secured that with a brilliant deal with Acreage Holdings to lock that up. The tipping point for Canopy is the whole US as a marketplace and there is a lot of lobbying to get Fed and State synced up to launch the biggest greenrush the world will ever see. Investors haven't realized that Acreage is Canopy on sale when the deal gels.
But, we're talking Dixie here and the last interview I saw with Linton and what I got out of it was that Linton was looking at US marijuana companies, already established with lines of products and he mentioned products for animals and beverages. Dixie has done some heavy lifting in that department with 100 plus skus, a recent speculative deal with AriZona, the iced tea multi unicorn both of which have been a little sluggish sharepricewise and a guy like Linton getting on board would draw the eyes of the investment world. As far as we know, Canopy/Constellation/Acreage don't have 100 plus skus, let alone market tested ones.
You are on to something and I am hoping for the same. I have rationalized my investments in most of the above mentioned companies, even in the recent "correction" stage of marijuana companies, across the board. I don't have STZ in my portfolio but recognize that they are pros that put up more than chicken feed to be a part of the greenrush and you can't do that without confidence from the market. I also own Tinley Beverages and Bhang, both of which are on sale but that is just my humble opinion.
These are long term investments which is my style, subject to quick flips and big money manipulation because of the irrational price fluctuations on the "rush" stocks. Especially for whoever's ring Linton throws his hat into. glta and dyodd
