RE:Pulver You guys are fun, I appreciate the sarcasim. Welp, seeing as they have 10 days to submit a new report with new information on how they will fix the company, and then HC has to review that and give another stance, that will occur on December 1st as to the response to this letter.
At that time some strides can occur to show HC changes being made to make improvements but it won't be granted a green light in December, it will be able to avoid a full revoke and be allowed to maintain course... but by then it will not have been able to grow anything new and all the rooms will be empty and all the cannabis will be harvested and in storage while the new QA team begins rewriting the scripts.
However, if part of the methods to full compliance includes the full removal of certain stakeholders and they remain shareholders then Health Canada will not be in a position to allow for the suspension to be lifted at all.
Remember, we were shown a snipit of the health Canada letters in the PR.
For context I can only draw parallels from other companies as I obviously do not have access to the letters to Canntrust.
Here is the Press Release from Agrima citing a "partial suspension" for a "record keeping" issue. This is the same penalty box Canntrust is in:
https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/agrima-botanicals-corp-addresses-record-keeping-issues-with-health-canada-694550861.html
Here is a press release the next day citing positive steps in making it all better:
https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/ascent-industries-corp-provides-update-on-health-canada-licences-694604171.html
This sounds all so lovely and they must be on their way to making friends again with HC.
But then this press release came out in November:
https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/ascent-industries-corp-provides-health-canada-update-and-announces-appointment-of-interim-ceo-701007181.html
So what happened???
Well, pages 42 to 46 of this next link are the very words on those health canada letters:
https://documentcentre.eycan.com/eycm_library/Ascent%20Industries%20Corp/English/Motion%20Materials/Initial%20Application/Affidavit%201%20of%20Blair%20Jordan%20sworn%20on%20February%2028,%202019.PDF
Now obviously this isn't the exact same case, and CannTrust has egg on it's face and fired people and is obviously not still feeding the black market (I mean, I assume so) so that means it might work. However, again, it's about the "people" involved, and that includes our Interim CEO and HC's point of view of him and the continuing management and Quality Assurance team, who all participated in lies and scandal. Also, who's name(s) are actually on the licence? I mean, the key person in charge and head of Quality Assurance has to be on it. But if they are part of the problem, I mean, they have to go, and getting rid of them off the licence is a huge challenge which borders a whole new licence application.....
The next parallel to draw would be Bonify where after their one naughty thing they were taken over by RavenQuest, gutted and rebuild the system. They haven't had the suspension lifted yet, but they most certainly haven't continued to break the law and will most likely be able to rise above and come back out with a licence in the next few quarters... But alas, Bonify doesn't have a wave of litigation on its shores either......
So tick tock goes the clock.
I promise that members of the origional issue are still clinging to power and until they get the boot nothing will change.
