On September 20th, the Keon Group (made up of the companies Naskeo Environnement and Sycomore), the management company Swen Capital Partner and the Crdit Agricole group signed a partnership to invest in biomethane in France. Crdit Agricole is joining forces through its two funds dedicated to the energy transition: Idia Capital Investissement and Crdit Agricole Languedoc Energies Nouvelles (Calen).
Their partnership aims to create Ter'Green, a biomethane investment company. Its objective is to invest more than 10 million euros in equity in five years in projects of construction and injection of biomethane , carried by actors of territory ( farmers, communities, industrialists ... ). About fifteen projects have already been identified and could generate more than " 100 million euros in economic benefits for the territories," say the partners in a joint statement.
In the short term, several investments are planned in units already in service or under construction with " an annual cumulative production target of 30 million m3 of biomethane", they add. That is the equivalent of the green gas consumption of 15,000 households.
"Green gas projects are at the heart of the territories' energy, ecological and agricultural transition. They allow both the production of renewable energy - the biomethane that is injected into the networks or used as fuel for mobility - the production of digestate, fertilizer with established agronomic virtues, and the creation of non-relocatable jobs in rural areas. ", Emphasize the partners.
