Not just logs they are shipping. They are also shipping jobs south of the border to their new mill. I know because I have worked at a planer mill that has run lumber for Western for many years. All S4S products and rougher head products. About 90 percent of it now they want to run in their new mill by Seattle. It has affected about 5 mills in the Lower mainland drastically. Canadian lumber being remaned south of the border. It might be good business for them, but time will tell ofcourse as others have done this before. So lumber goes right from their sawmills on the island to their new mill. Just my opinion.
