RE:RNX Investor Presentation has been updated. 6 new pages. This presentation is excellent. It was trying to explain the occurrence of the high-grade stuff, which is contained in the following 4 slides, 21 - 24 :
- Slide 21: First requirement, sediment must be in contact with the shear zone, so they show the entry (just below level 14) and exit (around level 17, to be dug up) of the sediment layer and the shear zone. The contact length = 80m and in this zone the sediment layer is messed up (stretched and broken up, which provide a larger contact surface for reaction with catalysts such as iron within the shear zone which serves as a conduit for the Au-bearing superhot (hydrothermal) fluid coming from below). Shear zone = 80m deep x 10m wide x 500m (3x distance from GTV 1.0 to GTV 2.0 = 160m along the strike) x 2.8 = 1,120,000 = ~ 1.0 M tonnes of rock (Napkin math at end).
- Slide 22: Additional explanation for Au flash-precipitation (puking), but this presentation did not include specifically the requirement for sudden pressure drop (from subsequent earthquakes/fault opening up for Au-puking to take place (may be I missed it? perhaps they did say it when they mentioned "strongly reduced system". This is expert talk, not layman talk.
- Slides 23&24: Good slides as reference, noting the planned level 17.
Napkin math: 1M tonnes of rock at 31gpt would yield 1M tonne x 31/31 = 1Moz Au if they can mine the volume shown in Slide 21 in say 2 years. Or, 0.5 M oz/yr x USD 500/oz profit = USD 250M/yr = ~$300M profit, assuming coarse gold grade of 31gpt (which seems reasonable given the grade we have seen so far, last NR for GTV 2.0, grade is 200,000 gpt; hole 7m below FDV has a grade of 1406 gpt; and GTV 1.0 has grade of some 120,000 gpt ). You can certainly adjust the grade based on better information.
