Stope underneath FDV?
Stope underneath FDV?There is a bit of discussion in ceo.ca/nrx channel on the new gray line in slice 23 of the new corp presentation (credit @yellojello). It would seem very likely that RNX has quietly started a stope to cherry pick the "coarse gold". There are more discussion, but an except is posted below as an example:
"@yellojelly...It's definitely a master piece. You have keen eyes for this new line between GTV 1.0, hole AZ15-013 and FDV (I would refer this as the golden triangle, and have flown the idea of mining this area first, say with a stope 4m x 4m x 29m/slanting distance is longer than 25m). To me it looks like something they already dug up (quietly) as a cherry picking special op. They could do that at the golden triangle, anytime (despite all the precaution from Huet and Sloan), while doing the bulk extraction of the "coarse gold" between level 15 to 14. Note also, there are two (crooked) stopes(?) on top of level 15, one above FDV and the other is at the blue star on the left side (what does blue mean, compared to red and yellow?)"
Napkin Math for a 4x4x29m stope (a pilot stope with 4m width, but will expand to 40m for a bulk operation):
- Tonnage: 4x4x29m x 2.8 = 1300 tonnes rock for the pilot stope
- Tonnage for a 40m wide stope: 40/4 x 1300 = 13,000 tonnes
- grade: 31gpt (minimum): 13000 x31/31 = 13,000 oz Au
- grade: 1400gpt (as in hole AZ15-013): 13000 x1400/31 = 587, 000 oz = ~500,000 oz
- grade: 100gpt: 100/31 x13000 = 41935 oz (same order of magnitude as FDV discovery)
The haul will depend on the luck factor, but we may be in for a (pleasant, hopefully) surprise.
