RE:RE:NG futuresNG futures up 4% today btw. All decent names there. I got out of all fosil fuel holdings last year, times are changing, so I am too. I'm bullsih on gas at this time of year always, picked PONY to play it. Of the names you mentioned, if I were to pick one it would be BTE, very austute management team there. I'm bearish on oil, with US shale, Iran, Ven and SA there's 5 mil/day spare capacity, and Brazil potnetial sitting in the wings. Barring a black swan event like the recent attack, the fundamantals for oil sux. Net net, gas isn't any cleaner than coal due to methane leakage in the chain. US put online more renewable elec in the past yera than all other sources combined. The lawsuites are already starting to fly against big oil over enviromental damage. Being a born Albertan, I can tell you this change of mindset was very difficult for me, and the Canadian sector has been particularly harsh as when the indiginous folks say no, they will usually prevail in court, it's thier soverign land., that's why all the big guys bailed the sandslast 4-6 years, although you have to give the Canadian sector extremely high markrs for inovation and action re CO2 emissions. Unless the whole world gets on board with the CO2 battle, it's a waste of time, and I don't see that happening. I'm focusing on geo engineering which is basiclly artificial change of the climate, don't have any picks yet, still in the research stage. Check out the new solar projects going ahead in Alberta, it's amazing, some opportunities there. Also, they have discovered a zero emision method to produce hydrogen from Alberta oil pools underground, that's a new and exciting area. I just don't see any growth opportunities in Canadian oil, NG there's a few, but the tech inovations coming in renewables is going to wack fosil fuels, it already is, that's why SA is trying to monetize Aramco, they know the party will soon be over. Appologies for my typing, never was a strong suit haha.
