RE:RE:RE:Vaping lung cases surge to more than 1,000 Though I am not an expert, from what I understand there is more 'money to be made' by using thickening oils in THC verses nicotine. I also understand there is not as much 'thickening' required with nicotine.
It all boils (pun intended) down to essentially one overall arching aspect; you cannot regulate what is not legal. Legalize it, then ensure there are appropriate safety measures in place, inclusive of age restrictions.
Cigarettes have killed a whole lot of people over the years...yet there they are in the grocery store, drug store, and corner store.
Any death is too many. I am so reminded when several made in China baby toys were banned due to their using highly leaded paint in making them (and the thesis being any baby is going to try and put any toy in its mouth). THC is not the issue, lack of regulation is.

I agree with your assessment but what concerns me is the following:
Of the 578 cases where doctors know what patients were using, roughly 78% of them said they vaped THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, while 17% percent said they exclusively used nicotine, according to the CDC.
Where is the THC vape coming from? Black market or legitimate source?
