RNX, Slide 23, Sept Corp Presentation, mysterious lineThere is a mysterious line on that slide that stirred up quite a bit of discussion on ceo.ca. The line is a short vertical line (in a looking east direction) from Level 16 to level 15, going from GTV 1.0 (1000oz) to FDV (30,000oz) and through the red star (hole AZ15-013, 1406 gpt). This hole is also shown in Slide 21 with a different look direction (looking north).
- The first group of posters: This looks like a new stope that the company has not told us, and speculation was they have started mining underneath the FDV.
- Other posters: This could be just the trace of the drill hole (but the company did not provide any label for it) in a different look direction (east). This is a reasonable interpretation... and most of the people in the first group seemed to go along with it.
This is fine, since this is where people meet in chat rooms to exchange information. However, this line would provide a good opportunity for discussion, and serve as a marker for digging up a pilot stope from level 16, since this is the location to start picking up some low-hanging-fruits. They can carve up the stopes between levels 15 to 14 while doing a cut of about 50m chunk along level 16 (say toward the east, Ref. Slides 23/24). That chunk would contain about 25m x 10m x 50m x2.8 = 35,000 tonnes. Depending on the grade of the coarse gold (bet that they would find coarse gold there, since the max grade, red star, from hole AZ15-013 is 1406 gpt, and the grades at both ends, the gold stars are much higher). Even at a modest 31gpt the gold content would be 35,000 tonne x31/31 = 35,000oz (= FDV discovery). Note, the following:
- 31 gpt was assumed for simplicity, 31g =1 oz;
- The sediment layer was assumed to be about 1m thick and all messed up in the shear zone with an effective area of 10x (see Slide 21). However, the 10x is a pure guess. In an explosive mixing situation the particle size of the sediment could be very small and numerous with micro cracks everywhere. Hence the effective surface area for reacting with the Au-infested superhot fluid could be much larger than 10x (100x, 1000x,..).
