“John Priestner and Martin Walter's Vanadium One Energy Corp. (VONE), down one-half cent to seven cents on 79,000 shares, has shuffled its management. The key changes have Cliff-Hale-Sanders becoming president and CEO and Ashley Martin becoming chief operating officer. Mr. Priestner had been president and COO, while Mr. Walter was CEO. For Mr. Martin, the appointment is a promotion; he previously had been vice-president of technical services. Mr. Hale-Sanders, an "entrepreneurial and driven" mining executive, is an outside hire. He was a mining analyst for over 20 years, and three years ago he cofounded Ascendant Resources Inc. (ASND: $0.31), where he serves as executive vice-president.
Vanadium One wants to develop its Mont Sorcier vanadium project, near Chibougamau in Quebec. The company currently lists 35 million tonnes indicated and 178 million tonnes inferred of concentrated material averaging 65 per cent iron, 0.6 per cent vanadium oxide and 1.6 per cent titanium oxide. At last report Vanadium One was working on a preliminary economic assessment, and Mr. Walter had expected to release it before the end of September. Getting the now overdue dream sheet out to investors will be the first challenge for the new crew.” By Will Purcell October 3, 2019
