True enough! My point is, of course, that if I was given faulty information by a CRA agent, then I will plead that the fault was not mine. An extra wrinkle – the first agent I spoke to said that she was not qualified to answer my question. She referred me to someone supposedly more knowledgeable about TFSA matters. For absolute security, one would have to get a written statement from the CRA.
