RE:48North - Delshen

RE:48North - DelshenI'm from Kirkland Lake. There's a few layers that contribute to the infeasility of this, although it was one of the reason I took interest in North when the legalization buzz started floating around.

I walked through the property at DelShen a few years back. The entire property is surrounded by thick bush but if you're willing to talk through it you can access it. 800 acres is probably pretty costly to put a fence around with full security in the middle of the woods.

In terms of fertility, the property used to be a tree nursery so I'm guessing there land is fertile to some extent. It's been a long time though so there would probably be some hefty costs associated with bringing the soil up to par.

The elements are the biggest issue imo. If you think winters are long in Toronto, double that for Kirkland Lake. Snowfall is literally exponentially higher in Kirkland Lake compared to Toronto so the ground freezes earlier and stays frozen longer. Summers are much shorter as well so the window of opportunity for growing is very, very narrow.

I do hope that in the future the property is used for outdoor grow.
