GTE in 2018Apparently 80 pipeline bombings yet GTE was never below $2.75 and comfortably above $4. So while they make may good headline news, how much affect are they having on the bottom lines of producers like GTE? Remember Thomas Claugus at GMT has a direct line to GTE's top brass and has been buying shares hand over first. Putumato is close to the coast so in a worst case scenario oil can always be trucked until the pipeline is deemed "good to go." Ecopetrol and the Colombian government are on it right now, you can be sure.
I also hold TGL for its Egyptian exposure. It's holding up better during this correction. TGL diversified into Canada but I'm not keen on what they bought. Acordinero wells have 400% RORs with 7 month payouts and about US$35 million NPV per well. The diference between that payout and the 1 year payouts you sometimes see CDN companies have is that the oil isn't in steep decline after the payout period. It's steady and profits are piling up.
