RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Massive Cobalt Offtake Deal Between Glencore and GEM
@sogosohubidu201 I believe your final paragraph is incorrect and likely misleading:

The new Glencore offtake is for the sale of 100k of Cobalt Hydroxide. Why?

As announced, their deal is for the sale of around 61.5kt of Co metal (shipped as Cobalt Hydroxide)

As Co (OH)2 is a defined chemical compound, it's structural composition cannot differ. This chemical composition carries a molecule that is made up of 61.5% Co. Not 25%. Not, "sometimes" 30% etc. etc.

Furthermore, Glencore's shipped product cannot contain anything else other than Co (OH)2 which, by the way, if it didn't, the end user would, under contract, be able to punish the supplier (Glencore) with $ penalties. So your statements offering differing views on contained Co % are incorrect.

Ergo, selling 61.5kt of Co metal equates to selling 100kt of the Co containing parent product: Cobalt Hydroxide.

https://www.freeportcobalt.com/products/chemical.html.

"It is a specialty product utilized in the preparation of both refining and petrochemical catalysts... (and) has high chemical purity and is standardized with 61.5% cobalt content."

I hope this is finally clear enough for all.

These are my views only. Thanks for reading.
