Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Monday

Monday

Most of this conjecture is academic as I expect the hardcore longs suffered through Thursday's drop.  I knew I would not sell before 15 October.  Friday it felt like a gamble.  But I did not sell a single share.

I am curious how Monday is going to play out.  With the TSX closed, and most shorts on the NYSE (which is open) I wonder if there will be any covering prior to earnings.  I remain hopeful they will be positive.  I am also hoping there will be some guidance on edibles and topicals.

As for Double Diamond, who knows.  I am somewhat perplexed by the SEDAR filing as well as the Motley Fool article...but logic points to Aphria 1 in my mind.

Not so sure how much it matters at this point.

Though I appreciate what APHA is doing as the sector transitions from hype to fundamentals.  It is ironic in some ways as many of of were expressing exasperation this time last year regarding WEED's hype (thanks to Bruce Linton mostly) and that we thought it was smoke and mirrors.  Sadly, Aphria is getting swiped by the very thing we thought made us different (fundamentals in place).

I also hope that Mr. Simon would not have dropped positive hints in his most recent interviews.  He knows his investor base is mostly retail and I cannot imagine him spitting in our face.

I am curious to see what happens tomorrow on the US exchange.

Let's all hope Tuesday is good news.

Time to focus on all things family and turkey related.
