Jagged Peak acquired for US$2.27 billion

Jagged Peak acquired for US$2.27 billionJagged Peak Energy gets acquired by Parslet Energy for US$2.27 billion.  Jagged Peak's US production and assets are similar size to Baytex's Eagle Ford production / assets.

Baytex could sell Eagle Ford and pay off all the debt and buy back 50% of the outstanding shares and have 60000 BOE/day production at high net back (Viking) to fund a dividend & growth in Duvernay.   Wonder when a potential acquiror sees this as a possibility?
