RE:RE:The little engine that could(n't)Leap has its own growing pain. If it wasnt for MAX grounding CFM wouldn't have been able to meet its delivery commitment to AB. They are having major supplier issue in particular raw materials and forging capacity. They also have technical issues. Ceramic coating is not adhering to blades. By the way it is the GTF that made c series very competitive that caused AB and BA to make neo and MAX. Leap is a quick response to GTF using exotic materials and runing higher RPM and hotter temperatures. GTF while having growing pains has lots of margins to grow. If Pratt runs thier engine to same temp and rpm of leap then they will be 30% more efficient then current GTF's.
