Previous write up

On May 24th, 2019,  Barrian Mining Corp. (TSX-V: BARI)  released details of their IP(induced polarization)/resistivity survey results on the Nevada based Bolo property located about 90 km northeast of Tonopah.  Of course, in any mining project, the sun doesn’t set until the results are in.  However, given the past history of the region, I think the potential for a golden sunset could be real.  According to the news release, the survey extends 1,100 metres north to south, covering an area of approximately 135 hectares.  It comprised 10.2 line-km over nine lines targeting the Mine Fault and other mineralized structures that host the Uncle Sam, South Mine Fault and Northern Extension mineralized zones. Sali stated, “we are very encouraged by the positive results of the recently completed geophysical survey. The results have exceeded our expectations and define multiple high priority resistivity anomalies that warrant immediate drill testing at depth below the South Mine Fault Zone, and along strike towards the Northern Extension Zone.”[1]

Looking at the results, in my opinion, Barrian may be geared for potential discovery of some high-quality finds.  I have listed some of the highlights of their latest release below.

Highlights:

            The Survey:

    • identified multiple high-priority anomalies that warrant follow-up reverse circulation (RC) drill testing
    • revealed the presence of a well-defined linear conductive anomaly coincident with previously RC drilled gold and silver mineralized zones and Mine Fault trend.
    • Defined numerous high-priority drill targets1

-          The fully funded summer drill program will include step-out and infill drilling to extend gold-silver mineralization across the drill-indicated zones of +1.1 strike length showing potential to be inter-connected and displaying features of multiple sub-parallel zones along the Mine Fault Trend. 1

  • The Bolo project consists of 187 unpatented lode mining claims and one patented lode mining claim, and it hosts Carlin-type gold mineralization. Notable historical drill results include 1.28 g/t gold over 133 metres from surface.[2]
  • The SMF Zone returned RC drill intercepts of 3.24  grams-per-tonne (g/t) gold over 30.5 metres from a downhole depth of 44.2 metres, within a broader zone of mineralization averaging 1.28 g/t gold over 133 metres* from surface (Drill Hole BL-38) 1
  • The Uncle Sam Prospect yielded high-grade silver plus gold channel rock chip samples including 3,146 g/t silver and 1.0 g/t gold over 2.6 metres, and 365 g/t silver and 1.9 g/t gold over 3.6 metres** and is associated with an approximately 100 metre wide conductive zone representing the Mine Fault. 1

I look forward to the results of the summer drill program and seeing if Barrian does indeed, find themselves in the midst of that much sought-after golden sunset.
