Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:RE:The fallacy of oversupply!

RE:RE:The fallacy of oversupply!PROF made a great point about the upcoming huge demand for cannabis flower to make cannabis extracts!  Brilliant! And very reassuring.

To answer your question PROF, if you're talking about hash oil in general, the ratio seems to be about 5:1 (cannabis flower to distillate). See this article in the New Cannabis Ventures newsletter: https://www.newcannabisventures.com/how-to-measure-cannabis-extraction-efficiency/. The author is a biochemist and COO of Xabis Inc. BUT. It seems that because the biochemistry of cannabis is complex, there is a lot of variation in the actual ratio of flower to final product - varies with which final product one is interested in (oil, CBD, THC etc), the genetic strain and its inherent oils content, and the extraction technology.

It's all about a ratio folks. That is how many KGs of flower etc does it take to produce a KG of cannabis oil distillate?? I'll start off by saying that it isn't 1:1 or 2:1 or even 3:1 from what I've been told. Some say it's 7KG's of flower etc to make 1 KG of cannabis oil distillate. Help me out here please?
