RE:CLIQ stores getting robbed at alarming rate
This is true across the board. Started in Alberta but the thieves seem to have the skinny and are hitting stores hard as far as Vancouver B.C. and the island. The company has changed LP roles numerous times of late and don't have a clear strategy. They have been full-bore reacting with no intelligible game plan since an employee was stabbed in one of their Edmonton location parking lots. Can confirm terrible LP rules have come down the pipe since and has resulted in several terminations due to poorly worded policy and lack of experience and poor execution on the part of their LP managers. Having worked in Loss Prevention for decades now I see a real weak spot within the company. That said, I am confident they are well insured and likely not to face serious financial losses from the uptick in pilf. Worst case scenario is that the zero tolerance policy enforced by their new LP policy discourages employees from filing reports and following up for fear of being fired on the spot. Could theoretically pose a problem with insurance down the road. Ultimately I am bullish on this stock because despite this and other recent missteps, (mostly regarding terrible delivery program planning in B.C.) alcohol sales are strong, and the many cannabis stores in Alberta are raking in cash for the company. If they can expand into metropolitan areas of B.C. with their Nova stores expect to see a huge increase on earnings. (Vancouver especially has been hit hard since most of the grey market stores have closed down. Choom is opening in Van.. where is Nova?
