Core’s board was on hand to present, and to answer questions, excepting Javier Reyes who was regrettably on other business - he was missed. CFO Sam Wong, Matt Roma, Anthony Balic as well as Carson Sedun all exchanged useful information with shareholders, during and after.
Those who could not attend missed out on a good meeting. Two members of Titan’s counsel from Fasken were on hand, and there may have been a one or two Titan supporters, but the small crowd were essentially enthusiastic Core Gold shareholders. Interaction between the various parties was cordial and useful information was transmitted.
The Terminal City Club club provided an agreeable, even sumptuous environment for the AGM. Founded in 1892, originally known as the Metropolitan Club, in 1898 it changed its name to Terminal City Club. A photo of its original lobby circa 1912 is shown below.
That the official part of the meeting passed in full agreement is an indicator of stability. The energy to go forward decisively was evident. Andrew McLeod, understood to formerly have been board member Gregg Sedun’s counsel, performed with fairness and encountered no headwind in that regard as at the prior Vote Meeting June 12. Typically an official account and voting results appear in a followup release. All motions recommended by the board passed unanimously. The bylaws of the company allow an additional director to be added by the board during the course of the year.
• Directors were fixed at 5
• All of the directors were re-elected
• Davidson and Company were appointed as auditors
• The stock option plan was passed unamended
The original Metropolitan Building, the club’s home beginning 1912, is shown below. It was replaced by a modern highrise on essentially the same site, still hosting the club, in 1998. https://changingvancouver.wordpress.com/2012/12/07/metropolitan-building-west-hastings-street/
