Great Bear Resources Ltd. GTBDF

Primary Symbol: GTBAF

Great Bear Resources Ltd. is a Vancouver-based gold exploration company focused on advancing its 100% owned Dixie project in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. A significant exploration drill program is currently underway to define the mineralization within a large-scale, high-grade disseminated gold discovery made in 2019, the LP Fault. Additional exploration drilling is also in progress to expand and infill nearby high-grade gold zones, as well as to test new regional targets.

RE:RE:RE:A continuation of GBR...“Years ago before all the area plays were scrambling for the propertys that no one else wanted just because they are not too far away from Great Bears Dixie property Chris Taylor was staking the LP fault...”

touareg,

With all due respect...

GBR acquired their initial interest in the Dixie property from Newmont...2 years ago.  They sometime after that acquired an additional 26 claims (if I remember correctly) in the area.  Much, if not all, the area greenstone/volcanics have been staked for years, including grounds adjacent to Dixie.  I can attest to that as I was a geologist in the area in the late 80s.

Remember, the initial focus and discoveries wasn’t the “LP fault” as much as it was the Dixie limbs and hinge...hence the name of the property.  That being said, there’s no doubt now (after the discovery of the BR, Yuma zones, etc.) of the importance of the LP Fault (and the marker horizon).

You’re right that GBR holds the majority of the fault.  To the southeast, it trends off Dixie and into granites.  To the west-northwest, it trends onto RGLD’s Whirlwind Jack property.  Area magnetic (geophysics) maps and geology maps show this. GBR has stated that they intend on drilling the northwestern portion of the fault (further beyond BR) this winter as to date, I believe they’ve only drilled 575? M  beyond it, and there’s several km to go to the western border (RGLD land).

The Dixie deposit is truly one of the best gold finds in years in Canada, and the extent of the deposit(s) is not yet known, but undoubtedly significant.  Whether adjacent ground also contains “riches” remains  to be seen, but that doesn’t mean that money can’t be made during the exploration process of those properties.

Anyway, have a good night and a great weekend!
