ESCONDIDO ---- Medical device maker Datrix Inc., has beenpurchased for about $2.5 million by IntriCon Corp. of St. Paul,Minn.

Datrix makes heart monitoring devices worn on the body.According to a Thursday IntriCon news release, Datrix isprofitable, with about $1.6 million in annual revenue.

IntriCon said it plans to meld Datrix’s devices with itsultra-low-power wireless technology as part of a move into thewireless medical monitoring market
