RE:RE:Minister Rejected Water Use Permit for AmulsarDo we know if this is even true? The information seems to have originated from and is being spread by the the eco-fascists themselves, including here. Could just be one of the usual smears based on a complete fabrication.
As for extension of the forbearance, I wouldn't worry about that too much: the business community is unlikely to drop this without an outcome. First, they would be completely writing their investment off, whereas currently they own three potential alternatives to recover it: the opportunity for potentially mining and selling some gold, the opportunity for a claim against the gov't, and in the worst case, the opportunity to potentially sell the asset to one of the competitors who is funding the opposition.
One day, sooner or later, that gold will get pulled out of the ground. That's how the relationship between gold and human nature works. It will either be us, or it will be the next guy, who is likely to be corrupt and cause a hell of a lot more environmental damage than we would. As always, whether economically, racially, or environmentally, leftist fascism brings about the exact conditions that it purports to be fighting against.
We're in the same boat, by the way - I'm down 50% too, I must admit that my predictions posted here a few months back didn't pan out (so to speak), and whist I think this will have some sort of interesting conclusion, I'm not sure that now is the time to average down.
