RE:RE:RE:Pretium is a one mine companyI'd say the chances are very good that they will be burned soon by good news coming from Pretium, and by normal seasonality.

And as for the shorts loving the stock ,   thats simply because they believe  the risk/reward is their favour.  On going missed guidances  originates with   management  and works in their   favour.
