RE:RE:RE:TAKEOVER BID ANNOUNCEDAny energy source needs to be maintained, even hydro. I would like to see more geothermal being developed. Much more stable supply and potentially bankable.
Talk about obsolescense, oil and gas are used once, then they’re gone and need to be replaced.
That investment reaps returns daily from users like you and I.

Can you imagine investing in millions of acres of windmills and solar panels that have a fixed lifetime and they're already developing garbage dumps or graveyards for all the old parts. And they're not that efficient to start with and are being placed in areas that are not conducive to the restrictive limits they have i.e. they may be good in temperate climates but not in frigid climates.

We are so focused on "green" energy as it relates to carbon particles in the air that we have lost complete focus on "pollution per se". There are so many areas of pollution that would be a better way of spending all those tax dollars they are collecting.

I believe investment in wind and solar is a short term thing and an overall losing proposition in the long term. It's riding the world wide scream of "climate change" and "green energy" and is completely missing the whole issue of the massive types of pollution it creates. At some point that will be recognized and the wheel will turn.

If I was much younger I would be terribly concerned that the Canada Pension Plan has decided this is a good investment but at my age it is not going to effect me.
