Skyscrapers kill far more birds than windmills, and there are way more of them.

I read sowhere that the ENTIRE MASS of the Earth's insect population is 20+ MILLION times that of humans !!!

Birds KEEP the insect population in CHECK !!!

The introduction of the pesticide DDT has DECIMATED the bird population since the 1950s and the insect population has GROWN RAPIDLY during this time !!!

NOW the windmills (in addition to the DRAINING of wetlands) are CONTINUING the MASSIVE DESTRUCTION of the VITALLY IMPORTANT bird population !!!

The most important point about windmills providing RENEWABLE energy is that they are TURNED OFF once the wind gets TOO STRONG since the blades CANNOT handle the MECHANICAL STRESS !!!

This is my opinion only.
