True cut off grade??? I fully understand why management reiterates that all stope muck greater than 5 grams is being fed thru the mill. While there was any belief that ore reserve grades might be in excess of 12 or 13 grams , this has some sound mining enginneering behind it.
However now that we know mill heads going forward are likely to be 9 grams at best, and possibly lower, consider this.
5 gram rock ( and I delberately use the word rock rather than ore) has a gross value of 5 / 31 X $1500.. or $242 per tonne.
Costs reported in Q3 are shown as $86.2. million to produce a mill thruput of 309,754 tonnes, or $ 278 per tonne. THEY ARE LOSING MONEY ON EVERY TONNE OF 5 GRAM MATERIAL !!!!!!!!
Ore is defined as rock that can be mined at a profit. This 5 gram val;ue will; have to be revisited very soon
