The Peacock Sheridan Group, Hergott Law and Valens GroWorks Corp were the big winners on Friday night at the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce’sDestination Excellence Gala Awards.

Those were the winners of the small, medium and large business of the year awards, which were among the 12 that were handed out during the ceremony at the Delta Grand.

“We had a great evening, celebrating twelve outstanding businesses, and learning about their organizations and those of all 36 finalists through video stories throughout the evening,” chamber president Nikki Csek said in a press release. “The icing on the cake was applauding Jeff Stibbard of JDS Group—lucky award number thirteen – as he accepted his Business Leader of the Year honour, and hearing his unforgettable acceptance speech. Every year our awards just get better and better.”

Csek said one of the most notable moments of the evening was Valens CEO Tyler Robson also capturing the young entrepreneur of the year award.
