I'm not that strong on my advanced trading and not sure how much people do it on the venture but I'm guessing it is covered shorting to hedge and not naked shorting which would be insane for a company like this. Protect downside (and the price moves quite a bit sometimes) and the cost of some upside if we run. Not sure though.
