The world refuses to believe that a human will always be better than a machine at picking up difficult to understand words/accents/noise interference. My wife started medical transcription course, and by the time she was done 12 months later, there were no jobs left onsite anywhere. And that's MEDICAL transcription, where somebody could die if a mistake is made. Apparently, companies/institutions would rather increase the risk of killing people than pay professional transcriptionists $20-$30/hour.
