RE:RE:RE:RE:Now what I would like to know is why we don't drill
RE:RE:RE:RE:Now what I would like to know is why we don't drill Thanks for clarifying the shyte part.
From what I can see we are down to around 500 meters in some places already. To drill an angled hole to now get to 600 meters deep you'd have to pull the drill back or else you're angle of approach is pretty steep so in effect you're covering a lot of empty space to target that zone at depth, hundreds of extra meters before you hit the zone.
At some point going straight down would be just as effective and maybe more so.
Of course I don't expect them to spend money on a wild goose chase however when the CEO has said repeatedly " We hit gold in every hole " it doesn't seem that crazy to test the depths using structural controls and the best technology.
But it was just a fun " what if " thing although I'm pretty certain we'll be going down there eventually, mine shafts are vertical aren't they ? touareg wrote: You know perfectly well that is not what I was saying.. They already stated they are going deeper under the blobs because they found minable gold from surface AND grades were improving as they went deeper.. my exact point demonstrated by the way they are going about their drilling. Start with 300 to 500 meters then they can see if it makes sense to go deeper. It costs a lot in time and money to go 1,000 deep so they want to be sure they find the right places to justify it first.
Clear enough for you?
In case their was a misundertsnading my other point about shyte posts was nothing to do with your posts.. it was about all the spam.. and some other dumb ideas being posted.. your posts are actually some of the only ones worth reading. Goaweigh wrote: And the two Blobs are barren ?

Goa.. 1,000 + meter holes are only worthy of the time and expense when they already hit mining worthy holes above those kind of depths.. in order for them to cover the huge area we are looking at at Dixie they need to continue with the 300 / 500 meter holes first and then when they see those holes ending in good grades they know where it is likely to pay to go deeper.

a fence of verticle holes at wide spacings, like 200 to 300 meters apart along the LP but pound them down to 1000 + meters deep.
We know we have some width so we aren't trying to thread the needle down a 10 foot wide pipe so why not drill a few hail mary holes and see what's down there.
Can you imagine what would happen if we pulled ore grade all the way down to 2000 + meters
Yowzer !
