RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:I wonder why the Japanese are not paying into Platreef ?The Platreef and Kipushi are great projects, but BOTH keep burning cash without return for a long time.  I believe IVN should hold these two developments, let concentrate on developing the copper mine(s) first to generate cash, then go back to the Platreef and Kipushi.

Otherwise, they may run out of cash and go back to the market before the 1st copper mine start.

ITOCHU is very prominent in China and are partners with CITIC. So, the Asian giants love each other. There could be any number of reasons why ITOCHU chose not to fund at this time, including the obvious: they have other priorities in the pipeline.
