Get a grip. They're pretty much dead already.

Get a grip. They're pretty much dead already.
By the way, if anyone wants to bet on there being a way back from shutting down operations, I think you should take in consideration the wider context.

This is a company that has taken up huge debt under terrible terms. They need to be paying 11.5% bonds. They were supposed to have things to sell to pay for those. They don't have that. Now they have to shut down because they can't afford to keep working towards enabling a revenue stream. They will still have to pay the bonds. This means as time goes, they need more and more money to just stay alive.

Now consider this also. I come from this region, I'm over there routinely. You know what's the job market over there at the moment? Just in case you're oblivious to this, let me enlighten you: everyone is working. They're in dire need for more and more workers. It's very common for mine workers to be paid 6 figures. How long do you think the guys who were working full time on this project are going to stay unemployed, and available to come back?

How many of them will even be open to coming back even if they find the financing? Why would you drop another very lucrative job at a solid, established mine or foundry to go work on a sh*t project that might shut down any time? Well, there are two reasons for that: either you've proven yourself to be problematic or incompetent and can't work anywhere else anymore, OR, they're offering you a ridiculous package. Meaning Nemaska will either have ineffective workers or will have to pay way above market wages for their employees.

To top that, it's obvious that some of them simply won't come back at all regardless of how much they are offered. This means whatever they do, after they shut down, they will also lose experienced workers who were now familiar with the project and ready to go. So add overhead when (if) they restart operations so that the newcomers get up to speed.

Honestly, I just don't see a way out now.
