RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:News out today..................RB, those comments on the Sprite deposit were the most exciting part of that news release. The assays on the SW extension of Marathon may not even be feasible to mine by open pit because of the depth. But also, 8 of the 14 barren holes were in the hanging wall which means there is a huge amount of waste to move to get to those beautiful gold bands. We will see when they crunch the numbers. It may have to wait for the underground phase which is not necessarily a negative thing. Voiseys Bay Nickel has just gone underground in Labrador so if it make sense, it can happen.
However, they have not teased us with references of visible gold for quite some time. We know the holes drilled were meant to be exploratory and expanding the strike of the Sprite deposit. We also know they have already had stellar holes with wide intercepts with wicked grades. So this bodes well. It reminds me of when they discovered Marathon when Leprecaun was the main pit. I posted a few days ago that if we have. Wait much longer for the Sprite drill program assays, than there might be disappointment. Looks like we may be in for a treat. Fingers crossed.
