The CVB Team Are Gold Rockstars!!!
Without much saying, the number one rockstar here has to be CVB’s exploration manager Dr. Diallo. His track record in Mali is outstanding to say the least. He directly led the teams that discovered several large gold deposits which include Sadiola (13.5 million ozs), Morila (8.5 million ozs), Syama (7.9 million ozs), and Essakane (5.3 million ozs). He himself selected CVB’s properties and so far the shallow high grade gold results have been very nice to put it mildly. CVB’s potential for discovering a multi million oz deposit certainly increases with a guy like Dr. Diallo managing the exploration.
The thing I like about the people behind CVB is that they’re seasoned veterans with a lot of experience in Mali that have co founded and/or ran IAMGOLD CORP when they built their 1st and 2nd mine there. Many years later the Rockstar team is back to the place where it all started for them.
When picking a company, good management is the most important and CVB has that in spades.
Next is the location and granted Africa isn’t the safest bet, but Mali has proven that not to be the case with the biggest gold producers successfully operating mines there, such as Barrick, B2Gold, Anglogold Ashanti, IAMGOLD, and Resolute. In other words if CVB proves up a gold deposit, there’s big players around for a potential buyout.
Last but not least in picking a junior is the amount of outstanding shares it has. 71 million fully diluted shares (most recent financing included), with managers and directors holding 20% and 12 million warrants at an average exercise price of .75 cents set to expire Nov, 2020 and Semafo with 5.7 million shares leaves around 30 million shares available for retail. That’s what I call a nice tight float!
It’s not often to come across a company like CVB that checks all the important investor boxes off with such high confidence. Also impressive is the fact they have found their discovery hole (18m @ 20.69 g/t au) early on into exploration and 93% of their follow up drilling has encountered gold mineralization on the 15km long Farabakoura gold trend.
Follow up drilling
- 6.1 m @ 65.58 g/t Au
- 13.5 m @ 9.25 g/t Au
- 60 m @ 1.42 g/t Au
- 32 m @ 0.93 g/t Au
- 32 m @ 3.02 g/t Au
- 1m @ 329.92 g/t Au
More of the same results from the upcoming drilling campaign at the highly encouraging Boumban prospect along with the other high priority targets could see CVB reach $2 or better by April. It’s not often an explorer hits phenomenal intercepts, but when they do the share price surges upwards like crazy and CVB has that chance when many do not.
Every couple of years there’s a junior explorer that captures the market’s attention and those in early are heavily rewarded. I’m betting that company will be Compass Gold in the coming months.
Good luck fellow CVB shareholders!
