RE:RE:Mr. Market is quiet and some nerves are frayed.. Well said standfir, Spiritflyer, and merlin991.

And I completely understand where the other posters are coming from.  The merger attempt was a very traumatic experience for all long term shareholders.  For me it was much worse than the near bankrupcy in 2015/16.  I guess because the merger attempt seemed to be a violent act, they were attempting to steal what wasn't theirs to steal.   But the situation now is entirely changed.  I think they, BOD4 and Titan, were entirely unprepared for the level of opposition, and of course unprepared for the lengths Mr. Piggott would go to to fight it.  Nevertheless they almost succeeded.
And that was becasue they had a whole bunch of ducks lined up in a row: Washer, Vertex, etc.  Those ducks have now scattered, and if anyone thought that Titan was an actual company back then, they surely don't anymore.

A conspiracy at this time between BOD4 and Titan seems very improbable.  Secret meetings between Sedun, Bailey and Clough; encrypted messages back and forth with Titan which if discovered would lead straight to jail; etc.  And Mr. Piggott keeping a watchful eye on everything.  I don't think they are smart enough.

So for me , all indications are that a legitimate look at potential offers is taking place. Whether that will give us a good offer, remains to be seen.  If all our talk about the wonderous assets Core has is accurate , than one would think it should.  For sure it wont be a bunch of shares in a worthless company.  And who knows what Titan might try and do.  If they can come up with a whole bunch of millions, beyond the $23 millions they have already mostly blown , than who knows.

And as far as what the market is saying: I would say it is saying that the long term shareholders ,who could be buyers, are sitting back, holding their shares, but thinking they don't need more in something still quite speculative.  And any insiders who know what is coming would be ,wisely, very leery of picking up shares, because if there is anything the regulators do take seriously it is insider trading.  That covers most all of the people in the know, and the picture Core is painting right now would not be attractive to anyone who didn't have a great deal of background.  And finally, my guess is Vertex is selling off their shares, and is happy with the present 25 cents.

But it is true, mostly we just don't know.  And it boils down to individual actions: buy, sell, or hold.

For me this is a very sad ending for Core.  Mr. Piggott seemed to be having some success building a small, socially responsible, and at some point to come, profitable gold miner.  Now people who don't deserve to be in charge are.  Now I just hope for a buyout that gives me  some of my investment back, and Core disappears into a much larger company that I can totally forget about.  Maybe in a few years it will be like that gf I had 15 years ago, who was so important at the time, but now some days can't remember her name.
