A revealing interview...something to think about! IMO, with the black market still continuing to be the dominate player in mj sales, it is imperative that lp's should be more prudent in their decisions to expand production/growth operations until such time as government gets serious and starts shutting down illegal dispensaries down, and until they serious about allowing more stores to open so product can be made more readily available for customers..I think Greg's decision to temporarily suspend the most recent OGI expansion was the right one given the current state of the sector..The money that would have been used to complete it can now be redirected towards focusing on the 2.0 rollout..I think that was a wise decision, and it's not as if it couldn't be revisited and finished up when the situation warrants it...the attached video is actually quite an eye opener and just re-enforces the point that the black market needs to be eradicated sooner than later, .and consumers need more places to buy...the federal roll out so far has been nothing short of a disaster in my opinion.
There’s about 400,000 kg of cannabis sitting on producers’ shelves, and most of it isn’t even packaged for sale.
