What is an NI 43-101 you ask?

What is an NI 43-101 you ask?

I've been doing some research and it's NOT what I, and probably you, thought it was. It IS NOT a set of rules defining "how many drill holes" or "how far apart are the drill holes" or anything like that at all.

Here's a link to a Canadian government website that has an easy to understand pdf file with lots of graphics.

https://www.osc.gov.on.ca/documents/en/Securities-Category4/ni_20180307_43-101_mineral-disclosure.pdf

NI 43-101: What it’s not meant to be

It’s not a guarantee of good work
It places an obligation on the issuer to have work done by a QP

The QP is supposed to do it right
It’s not a cookbook for mineral estimation

The rule sets disclosure standards, not estimation practices It’s designed so others can review and judge the QP’s work

It’s not a vetting process at the regulatory agency
Just because a technical report is filed doesn't mean it’s compliant

It’s the issuer's responsibility to comply
