Canadian Operations segment includes the exploration for, development of, and production of oil, NGLs, natural gas and other activities within Canada. Market Optimization segment is primarily responsible for the sale of the Company’s production to third-party customers and enhancing the associated netback price. The segment’s activities also include third-party purchases and sales of product to provide operational flexibility.

RE:market manipulation

It's not specifically with Encana as it is with the entire sector, I believe the deal between the US/China will lift all shares and Encana will jump. The companies margins and contracts are great, I just can't believe the i d i o t from Scotiabank lowered the price point, but again I will bet that they are adding.
