RE:RE:RE: Drill for structure drive for gradeThe World Gold Council defines a high-quality underground mine as having a gold ore density between 8 and 10 g/t (grams per ton), while a low-quality underground mine has a gold ore density of 1 to 4 g/t. Open-pit mines tend to have a lower grade, but they can be considered very valuable because of the lower average operating costs necessary to obtain them. The council recommends using cost per ounce, not gold ore grading, to evaluate a gold mine. miningman wrote: Loves, I wish you well but I have a sneaking suspicion there are a large number of stoping blocks ( 20 or more) that have been developed and partially drilled off, that suggest that , if mined, they would provide only 5 , 6 or 7 grams / tonne. Understandably , management is reluctant to put these thru the mill,
This inventory of developed ore will be blasted and used as mill feed when on going mining activities encounter tonnage or grade difficulties . Mill heads would obviously continue to fall.
