RE:RE:Core Gold Reforests in Portovelo Area

RE:RE:Core Gold Reforests in Portovelo AreaSpiritflyer, you are correct -  Core Gold's Q3 results are due.  Will be very interesting to read them, with gold at $1450-$1550 or so during the quarter.  On a project basis, Core has made money for a long time, but much moreso now.  Will be interesting to see what kind of gains the whole company can generate.

The project profit goes to paying debts down and investment in the operations, and of course a lot of money went to "administration" in the last year, i.e. lots to legal.  Will be good to see the end of that.  And then, maybe a bit to spare.  Gold is still looking to perform strongly - imagine how the next results would look with gold at e.g. $1900.

Interesting that Core's debt levels are declining - that builds on itself - less debt, less interest to pay, more money left to pay debt down.  A virtuous circle.

Kind words from you and others, also from 1kgcoffee, thanks.  But frankly I was silly for not spotting the #3 tailings pond in the background of the reforestation photo - Tad spotted it right away.  Core is still using #2 pond, and will then move on to #3 when they need to.  By the way, the chemistry of the plant process is neutralized in the sunlight that illuminates each new level of the tailings pond - the UV in the light breaks it up, becomes just fine sand.  Keith PIggott put #3 pond in place, and that's very good advance planning, to make sure they can keep processing gold.

In my wishes and those of probably everyone else, there would be a plant on-site at Dynasty, to eliminate the trucking costs.

Core has a good reputation with the environment and reforestation.  Mark Bailey and Kuscan are continuing that, with a person appointed just for the purpose of keeping the responsibility secure.  Ecuador considers Core Gold to be their model company for how mining should be done, integrating well with the local community.

There are a lot of us that have a soft spot for the local people, in both the Zaruma and Celica areas.  They are really lovely people who deserve to succeed.  My long-term wish is also a processing facility for the artisinal miners, to make their operations clean as well, for the health of communities.  B2Gold did that in Nicaragua, with tremendous results.

Looking forward to those Q3 results.
