RE:China’s Zijin wins over Canadian miner Continental Gold withI would think that Zijin buying a Canadian gold co with a big property in Columbia, has very little significance for Core Gold.  To me the biggest similarities between Zijin and Zhaojin, the company interested in Core Gold, are that they are both headquartered in China, and the first letter of their names are Z.

Zhoajin, the company looking at Core, has stated they are interested in smaller money deals.  The $100 m that the proposed Core deal would cost them fits that discription.  Zijin seems to think splashing out big bucks,  a $ billion it seems, is the way to go.

Maybe it indicates that Chinese mining companies are on the move in South America. Probably not much more.

And I still am of the opinion that Zhoajin's offer is still somewhere on the table.  Nothing seems to have  changed since they made it , except that Titan's merger deal fell apart.  Since then Zhoajin was reported to be in discussions with Core: Bailey and Sam Wong I think it was.  And also the fact that Core has done some confirmation drilling at DGF , a requirement that Zhoajin had in their initial offer, might mean something.
