Using NPV 8, where after tax cash flow is discounted by 8%, IVN still came out to about $3.60/share, as I recall. It's been awhile since I've done the calculation, and I don't feel like doing it again. This doesn't include the new super high grade resource at Kamoa, or Platreef, or Kipushi. The accessory germanium alone at Kipushi is worth over $1 billion. My own target is $7.50 share, and I don't think it's unreasonable.
To use KAT as a comparison, NPV for the project was always highly negative, which as an investment vehicle, represents the destruction of capital. That didn't stop traders from bidding it higher and higher at the exact same time IVN was being pummeled lower and lower. If you're looking at fundamentals, IVN is on solid ground. I don't believe trading action in these low volume markets can accurately gauge the future.
