On course to build the first primary scandium mine1. FACT
On June 11, 2019 GP mentioned that 2 KEY LOI partners were into deep technical evaluation of scandium in their products, … ready to sign an offtake agreement in Q3/Q4 2019.
MY ANALYSES
To my best knowledge, these are the most likely candidates: Granges, Eck Industries and Austal. Often, it's much easier to project where things are going than getting the timelines right. We all know that the electric car will replace the combustion engine, but when will 80% of the cars on the road be electric? The last question is much more difficult to answer.
I think it’s the same with GP and our LOIs: directions are clear, timeliness difficult to project. The three companies mentioned are all top notch: professionals doing serious work on scandium. It’s not like they wake up one day and move on to the next big thing. We should anticipate that two of them will sign an offtake soon.
2. FACT
We recently had two InvestorIntel articles on SCY: “Making scandium mainstream in the very near future” and “The rare earths racehorse investors are betting on”.
MY ANALYSES
I found the following InvestorIntel DISCLAMER: ‘Facts relied upon by our Writers are generally provided by the subject companies or gathered by our Writers from other public and/or private sources. These facts may be in error and if so, the opinions of our Writers may be materially different. Often times InvestorIntel Writers will utilize advertorial companies as content sources. In the video interviews or video content, opinions are those of our guests or interviewees and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of InvestorIntel.’
Companies pay for advertising on InvestorIntel. Articles with companies mentioned in them are always co-productions.
Except for the headings, these articles did not contain any new information. To me they signaled a clear message: on course to build the first primary scandium mine.
