It's Just that

It's Just that...that people on this board so often try to read tea leaves to figure out very small or even medium size movements on this stock over a timeframe of one or two days.   Absolutley no one can predict stock price movements over short timeframes unless there is a story or obvious material change in the market sentiment as a whole or a material change in the fundamental value of a company.

No my friends, for short term movements you will just have to accept that the reason ALA went down on Friday was there were more sellers of shares than willing buyers.  There the secret is out! :) ,,,, But it is over time that the fundamental value and earnings power and reliability of a stock shows up... witness FTS for example.  46 years of growing its dividens I think.  So buers in 2005 earn the equivalent of 9% dividend on their shares.  It says something about the value of buy and hold for a great company.

In the case of ALA  anyone who bought in the low teens has IMO a company they can pass on to their  grandschildren as  this utility with a kicker - RIPET without wild-eyed management will do very nicely now tomorrow  - no one knows.  By January 2021 - I think I  know..  Cheers
