Trying to unload large positions of anything at market is not normal behaviour – and should not be used as an argument against holding warrants – any more than it should be used as an argument against holding the stock.
Under normal conditions, the warrants should never trade very much below the 35 cent difference. That is simply because – with any greater differential it becomes profitable to buy the warrants, exercise them, and sell the stock for a profit. There is risk in a rapidly dropping stock price – and, of course, there are transaction costs that must be covered – and temporary fluctuations may distort the process. But I would be surprised if the difference ever becomes 50 cents over an extended period of time.
