RE:RE:GF purchases Interesting argument. Hard to ascribe motive or state of mind when an insider buys shares. GF has been buying shares for years, often at much higher prices. Maybe he is senile or besotted with his little company, which is too small, indebted and illiquid to attract much institutional investment. In addition Canadian oilers are almost completely out of favor. But a tree is known by its fruit, as the Bible says, and BNE has returned a lot of fruit, in terms of dividends, over the years. The future is hard to predict. For example, my future is so bright that I need a flashlight to peer into it. For the young snippers on this board, a flashlight is defined as a cylindical object used to store dead batteries. The evidence in the last presentation, Q3 reports, and minimal capex in Q4, hint that the future report for the last quarter should be very positive. As usual, the oil price will drive the allocation of funds to debt repayment, increased production, or dividend increases, and ultimately the share price, not whether GF added more shares to his hoard.
